Mask OFF – game playable on the web

I am trying to making it quick this time as a post.

Past semester I took one of the courses to be Computer Games where the topic was how to make computer games. We analyzed games, how are they structured, etc.

We had to assemble teams at some point to make a game as a group. Yikes, yeah I know group projects. I have had bad experiences many times in universities group projects which made me worry. Luckily I had very motivated people this time in my team for which I am very grateful – thank you all for making this happen. We all had some skill the other member did not, so we made the excellent team. I also included one of my old friend from Tallinn’s Polytechnic school to make additional music. You can listen to his music from here: https://hearthis.at/six-ten/

The game is story heavy if considering that the aim was to develop a prototype of a game. But we all wanted to make something which felt like a fully-fledged game. Technically speaking the game runs in Unity WebGL. Making a game in C# was really a breath of fresh air to me, because previously I have done it in GML only.

Story-wise I cannot find the final draft of the introduction to the game so I will paste the first one here:

2020, the year everything goes south and the society is on the brink of war between the anti-mask and mask users. Is this the end of society, is there no hope left? Will coronavirus end our hopes, morals and will man turns on man, a friend on a friend? When all seems to fade into darkness and hope is barely lost… there came…. Fordon Greenman… 21st-century knight, with only one mission…. to end this madness … and put a mask on the rebels for one last time!

We also submit the game to itch.io and currently speaking with Armor Games.

The game does not have mobile friendly controls, sorry. :/
